Ombre eyeliner. It is the easiest way to enhance the beauty of the eyes and create eyes lifting effect. The client will not have any difficulty applying eye liner because of poor sight or shaking hands. Moreover, this permanent makeup is much better as it doesn’t smudge throughout the day.
First came ombré hair, now, it's all about ombré eyeliner. Instead of drawing solid black liquid liner onto their lids, makeup artists have been turning their winged liner into fun, multi-colored gradients. I asked two experts in all things ombré liner to share their tips. Turns out, the colorful liner is easier to create than it looks. The hardest part is having the patience to blend the colors together.
First, you'll want to pick which two or more colors you'll use for your ombré eyeliner.
Can I wash my face afterward? Totally! Water is fine, just no mascara or cleansers for 48 hours.
What about rubbing my eyes? Best not to. Any friction or irritants will aid buffing away the pigment thus risking losing the consistency of the line.
What is the level of pain? This is different for everyone. Some find it relaxing (honestly!) and others find it painful, however everyone agrees it's super quick, the results incredible and because it lasts so long, totally worth it.
What is the effect and why would I do it? What we do looks blurred so there is no risk of looking like you've applied liquid liner. The whole look we aim for is one that looks like you simply have 6-7 times more lashes and a soft blur surrounding.
What is the process? Two visits. Numbing cream is applied and bubbles offered. You will have around 20-30 minutes wait time then be escorted to the treatment room and can expect to be on the bed for around 12 minutes all up.
Can I do anything to damage my ombre eyeliner after having it done? Only really using highly active ingredients that may strip the lid and lash line or a serious eye infection that makes the lash line scab. Other than that - you're all good.
Why do I need ombre eyeliner in my life? It's 'wake up pretty'….no maintenance. You can swim, sweat, get caught in the rain and still look fabulous. Best of all the need to apply eye makeup daily is pushed to a minimum.
How long does it last? Generally five and a half to seven years.
Can anyone do permanent makeup? Only those with super sensitive skins prone to regular eye irritations would not be ideal candidates and I would not suggest for anyone under 25.
